Using Chrome With Lion: How to Get Around Incompatibilities

 Google Chrome Logo

When using Google Chrome with Mac OS X Lion (Mac OS X 10.7) you may notice that the browser does not support gestures such as swipes to go forward and back on pages. There is a little workaround. It’s not 100 percent convenient, but it’s a solution.

One solution is to change your Magic Mouse settings to the two-finger swipe. This will allow you to swipe between pages, but will disable swiping between applications (this is because the default control for switching between fullscreen apps is a two-finger swipe).

Download Chrome Canary (link). If you run Canary, you will be able to swipe to go back and forth on between pages on the browser rather than use the back and forward buttons.
