China Makes Up a Major Part of Apple Revenue

Apple is definitely huge in Asian countries. China is a major source of income for Apple. According to reports gathered from Apple’s financials, almost one out of every six dollars going to Apple comes from China.

This may not be a total surprise. Apple products are very popular in China. We learned that the iPhone 4S sells huge in China’s  grey market. We also learned that China is the second largest app market in the world. This means that China is actually now Apple’s second largest market for revenue and fastest growing market.

If 9to5Mac’s estimates are accurate, and it continues at a fast rate, they say that the Asia Pacific could be Apple’s top bringer of revenue in a year.

China has five Apple Retail stores (official stores) and it’s said that they make up the most Apple Retail traffic for the quarter.
