Talk about having an eye on the future. According to a report from the Daily Mail, Steve Jobs left Apple with four years worth of future product plans.
Think about this: As Jobs knew that he had little time left, he worked for over a year to plan out future MacBooks, iPods, iPads and iPhones. On top of that, he made sure that he could secure the plans for the new Apple HQ.
If sources are accurate, Steve made sure that those product lines (MacBook, iPad, iPod, iPhone) were ready for the next four years. It’s quite something to see what a person can do when staring death in the face, and I say that with all due respect.
Looking Forward
We don’t want to dwell too much on the Steve Jobs stories, but they keep pouring in. It never seemed that Jobs was about looking back and thinking about the past. News of his putting together products for the next four years supports that.

Hate to say this but that doesn’t mean much. Once you are in competition with the industry you can’t predict what the next must have feature is. Samsung is releasing curved touch screen this year and then fully bendable touch screens next year, did Jobs plan for that? India just released a $35 tablet, did you plan for that?
RIP Mr Jobs
Never mind the fact that you have to start planning according to the industries movements for the next cycle of planning.
