How to Enable Multitouch Gestures on iPad with iOS 5.0.1


iOS 5.0.1 adds the multitasking gestures we heard about a while back. What used to take some fancy iPad hacking or additional work is now available with a quick update.

However, you will have to turn the option on. Here’s how its done.

Okay, this is super-simple.

1) Go to Settings.

2) From “Settings”, tap “General”

3) Under the “Multitasking Gestures” option, hit the switch to turn it “ON” as shown below. That’s it.


Here are the commands:

Use four or five fingers to:

– Pinch to the Home Screen

– Swipe up to reveal multitasking bar

– Swipe left or right between apps
