Christmas is just a few days away. You haven’t picked up any gifts yet. It’s too late if you want to have something shipped at a reasonable price. Sorry, Amazon shoppers, it may be too late for those last-minute orders.
What now? You’re going to have to hit up your local Wal-Mart, Target or Best Buy.
Here are a few last-minute gifts for the shopper who waited a bit too long. Maybe your budget is a little bit low right now. It’s all good. Here are some last-minute gifts that won’t break the bank.
1) iTunes Gift Card
iTunes gift cards are great for everyone. They come in a wide range of values, and can be used for anything from the music store to the app store and more. This means they suit many tastes. Another cool idea is those little $30 three packs (It’s three $10 cards). They are great for handing out to friends as small, “I didn’t forget you” gifts. They also make nice stocking stuffers.
2) Amazon Gift Card
Since you may have done your shopping at Amazon, why not just get them an Amazon gift card and let them buy what they want. The cool thing about this, is that you can do what I did. Buy an electronically delivered gift card. It will arrive in the person’s inbox for the date you set. For instance, I sent one to my stepdad. It will hit his inbox Christmas day.
3) iPod Shuffle
The iPod shuffle is definitely pricier than the other gifts. Still, it’s not likely to leave your bank account drained. It’s $50 for a 2GB. That’s enough for some podcasts or music, and probably perfect for the person in your family who likes jogging and working out, therefore needs something small and light that they can easily carry on their person.
4) Rise of the Planet of the Apes
Okay, so I admit that I just really want this one myself. Still, the idea stands. If you are looking for a last-minute gift for someone, a DVD or Blu-Ray can be a great way to go. It doesn’t have to be Rise of the Planet of the Apes, but just something you know they like and can watch.
5) iPad Case
One thing almost everyone with an iPad needs is a case or cover of some sort. People don’t want to scratch up their lovely iPad screen. Make sure they protect it. Why not shop around for a nice case or cover? The iPad owner in your life will appreciate it, especially if they are prone to dropping things.
Unfortunately, at this point it’s a bit late to really think too hard about what to get. Christmas is almost here, and the other last-minute shoppers are buying up all the good stuff. Gift cards and movies it is! At least you won’t end up in debt after the holidays.
