It was recently rumored that Apple wanted to purchase Anobit, a maker of flash memory. We learned of it last week. Seems the $400 – $500 million deal may have been finalized, according to reports from Israeli-based website, Calcalist.
This is also backed up by a Tweet on the Israeli prime minister’s English Twitter account, in which he welcomes Apple to the country:
Welcome to Israel, Apple Inc. on your 1st acquisition here. I’m certain that you’ll benefit from the fruit of the Israeli knowledge.
Looks like Apple’s got more lasers for their manufacturing pipeline.
