According to a report, Apple may go with IGZO (indium gallium zinc oxide) flat panels for the iPad 3 rather than going with IPS displays, which are used in current iPad models.
This comes from a Digitimes report citing sources in Apple’s supply chain. It’s said that the iPad 3 may use IGZO panels manufactured by Sharp, which will update the resolution of the screens to full-HD. The new panels may even make it into future smartphones, perhaps the iPhone 5 (iPhone 6, maybe?).
If anything is going to be an issue, it may be manufacturing enough to keep up with such demand.
