Apple Officially Announces Media Event for ‘Education Announcement’

We’ve heard so much about this in the last week. Apple is apparently preparing for some sort of education-related event in New York, but they aren’t saying exactly what it is yet.

Speculation ran last week after news broke of the then-rumored event. Many figured it would be somehow related to text books or text book distribution. That seems to make the most sense as the location is in New York, where many textbook publishers are located.

Perhaps it’s some sort of distribution deal for textbooks through the iBooks store or something similar. It’s too early to say right now, but that seems like the most logical possibility.
