Jonathan Ive, the dude responsible for many of Apple’s designs, has been honored with knighthood. Holy crap! knighthood? Heck yeah. Sir Jony Ive, that sounds pretty cool, and according to the BBC, he’s been made a Knight Commander of the British Empire (KBE).
Ive has been at Apple since 1992, and was one of Steve’s right-hand men through his career. In fact, Steve Jobs made sure that no one at Apple told Ive what to do. That’s right, only Jony Ive told Jony Ive what do to. Now he’s a freaking knight.
Still, the full report is pretty interesting and it goes into more detail about Ive’s role at Apple. Ive, next to former CEO Steve Jobs is arguably one of the most intriguing people at Apple, if you ask me.
