Most tablets can multitask these days, whether they are Android or iOS devices. Of course, just a few years ago, tablets seemed like science fiction. A tablet multitasking? Forget it. You needed a handful of tablets.
In the world of Star Trek, you needed to carry the bunch around just to carry out more than one action at once. Hey, it probably seemed convenient at the time when the writers were putting the show together.
Sorry, no swiping, no double-tapping the home button. It’s all about trying to carry multiple devices and not drop the whole stack.

If the tablets were super cheap,
(I assume they just replicate a tablet with a super dense, 3d holographic capable, quantum dot display and processing capability of thousands of today’s desktops… for about the cost of a cup of earl grey)
I would have multiple of them, so I could physically get some exercise, compare two things at once, and look busy
