This is pretty unbelievable. Really, I’d have to see it up close and play with it to believe it. It’s a clear coating that protects your gadget, such as an iPhone, from the cruel conditions presented by water.
Water is evil when if comes to gadgets. A simple splash or some very heavy rain can take your your iPhone in a matter of seconds. Well, that’s where Liquipel comes in. Supposedly, this stuff protects your devices from water. Here’s a description of the stuff:
Liquipel is a revolutionary process that applies a waterproof coating to your electronic device to protect them in the event of accidental exposure to liquids. It is not visible to the human eye, virtually undetectable and…will not compromise the look, feel, and performance of your electronics. [It] penetrates the entire device as a whole, including all of the vital components inside and out to provide optimal protection against accidental contact with liquids.
See? It’s actually a treatment. You can have your device mailed in and they will treat it. It’s very cool. Let’s see if Apple buys them up. We hope this stuff made it to CES. It can definitely make a huge difference in future consumer electronics.
