Heard on “The Original iPhone Film Festival”? For those who haven’t, here’s a short start.
Founders, Matt Dessner & Corey Rogers thought of creating a community which would support unique filmmakers who utilize the iPhone for film making. An online festival was initiated to bring the Apple iOS film making community together and showcase the great creativity with the smartphone’s lens. A judging panel was created to pick the best from the submissions and with the help of the sponsors, iPhone users were awarded various prizes and bunch of cool apps and subscriptions.
The judges were glad to announce winners for the best movies shot using an iPhone for the year 2011, across a selection of categories. The awards were categorized into four sections – music video, brand film, fiction and non-fiction – with each of them having a winner and two runner up places.
Apart from above, an OIFF grand prize was also awarded to “Nancy Lee” directed by Alen Petkovic.
We at iSmashphone, personally congratulate all the winners and appreciate the creative work brought up.
