Steve Wozniak seems like one of the nicest dudes in Silicon Valley. He likes his iPhone, and he likes his Android phone.
Woz spoke to the Daily Beast and he had some nice things to say about the platform:
“My primary phone is the iPhone. I love the beauty of it. But I wish it did all the things my Android does, I really do.”
He also has a few things to say about Siri, which doesn’t seem to be doing exactly what he wants of it:
“I used to ask Siri, ‘What are the five biggest lakes in California?’ and it would come back with the answer. Now it just misses. It gives me real estate listings. I used to ask, ‘What are the prime numbers greater than 87?’ and it would answer. Now instead of getting prime numbers, I get listings for prime rib, or prime real estate.”
After that, he explains that with his Android phone, he gets good results. He can ask for the number to his favorite steakhouse and it will give give him the number. His iPhone seems to have trouble with such things. Battery life is another concern for him. Still, he says that he would recommend the iPhone 4S to those who already use Macs, thanks to the compatibility. He also says those who aren’t fond of computers should go with the iPhone because it’s the least intimidating of the smartphones.
