The whole Antennagate mess that emerged shortly after the launch of the iPhone 4 in 2010 has been settled, reports say. The terms of the settlement will require apple to pay around 25 million iPhone users one of two things: $15 in cash, or a free bumper case.
That’s right. A bunch of people sued Apple so they could get a free bumper case or $15 cash, that’s barely enough to buy you dinner at Chili’s. Still, Antennagate was such a huge problem, that Apple held a special press event in which they announced that they would be offering free bumper cases to those who had purchased iPhone 4 handsets.
Those who want their $15 or free case can check out iPhone4Settlement.com and make their claim when it goes live. I think I’ll pass.
Don’t you just love class action lawsuits?
