It’s reported that the iPhone 5 will be introduced this June. This is more in line with Apple’s usual announcement schedule for the handset. Though the iPhone 4S was held over for an October announcement, there’s a chance that it may have been the exception.
According to reports, the iPhone 4S was only delayed because the company wanted to do further work on the iPhone 5. The 4S kept the iPhone 4 form-factor while Apple continued work on the next iPhone.
WWDC this year seems to be happening from June 11 through June 15 this year according to the schedule posted for the Moscone Center, which is where WWDC typically takes place.
Still, we shouldn’t forget that WWDC happened last year and no iPhone was revealed. Right now it’s all rumor and speculation and we’re sure few outside of Apple know when the next iPhone is set to be revealed.
