Apple is playing nice and offering refunds on new iPad 4G models.
Yesterday, we heard that Australia was cracking down on Apple because of the new iPad and its 4G LTE claims. They felt that consumers were mislead about the product, which is marketed as iPad WifI+4G, reports Cult of Mac.
However, it’s important to note that Apple explicitly states on their site (When a user is purchasing in the region) and on the box (with a sticker) that the 4G connection does not work in the area.
Despite that, they are offering refunds to people who believe that they were mislead by the box.
