For the Fifth Year in a Row, Apple is Fortune’s Most Admired Company

We’ve learned it’s good to be Apple. Fortune seems to agree. They have named Apple their most admired company for the fifth year in a row, topping giants like Coca-Cola, Google and Amazon.

Much of this is of course because of their strong performance in 2011. They managed to have their best quarter in history during the holiday season, and the iPhone 4S quickly became their best selling handset ever. The iPad 2 sold better than the original and though it obviously wasn’t accounted for, it seems that many are gearing up for the iPad 3, which may be another hit for Apple.

Still, being on this list is nothing to scoff att. Google and Amazon are second and third place respectively. Both are rival tech companies. According to TAUW, this ties Apple with General Electric for most appearances in a row at the top of the list. The outlook is good for Apple if iPad 2 trade-ins in anticipation of the iPad 3 are any indication of how many are ready for Apple’s next tablet device.
