Back when Steve Jobs stepped down from his CEO position at Apple, one design student created a very cool tribute image. It was the Apple logo with Steve’s silhouette inserted in place of the bite taken out of the Apple (above).
The image spread around the internet shortly after Steve’s passing, and soon the artist behind it reached micro-celebrity status. It’s not what he was looking for, he was just an Apple fan who happened to be a design student. His name is Jonathan Mak, he lives in Hong Kong and the image landed him a sweet job at Coca-Cola.
He’s designing posters for the soft drink company’s latest ad campaign “sharing a Coke.” You can see a poster he made below:
