Some of you may remember a deal that Apple had with the makers of Liquidmetal. It’s an ultra-light metal that’s very durable.
It turns out that the alloy was already being used by Apple to some capacity. It’s the stuff that they make the their little pin tool that removes the SIM card from your iPhone.
If you’ve ever handled the little pin, and noticed that it’s not very bendable, that’s Liquidmetal. It’s some tough stuff.
