We recently heard that Cricket would begin to carry the iPhone later this month. That’s a huge step for the iPhone, as there are many users in the pre-paid market who want to adopt smartphones, and Apple’s handset may be the way to go.
Website TechnoBuffalo says that one of their trusted sources has informed them that the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S will also be arriving on Boost’s network. There’s no official word yet, but it’s interesting to hear, especially since we just heard that Cricket will soon be carrying the handset as well.
It does’t seem unlikely. Apple does want the iPhone to be available to as many consumers as possible, and this is one of the ways to do it.
As TechnoBuffalo points out, this also helps with other smartphones as they will begin to push harder into the prepaid market as well in order to compete with the iPhone.
