You may have seen Apple’s new Maps app for iOS 6. Maybe you’re a developer, or perhaps you saw it mentioned in the press conference. The majority of us don’t get to see it first-hand, thought. Not yet, at least. However, Nokia’s 3D maps are powered by the same technology that will be in the iOS 6 version of Maps.
It uses C3 technologies, which Apple picked up last year. According to CultofMac, it works just like the iOS version. The good news is that they noticed that the application does seem to run better in iOS, so this won’t be an indication of how smoothly it will run on your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch.
