Apple has managed to have Samsung’s Galaxy Tab banned in Europe. This is a major win for Apple, but a major loss for technology and consumers.
Apparently, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 infringed on Apple drawings dating back to 2004.
Samsung had something to say about the banning:
“Should Apple continue to make legal claims based on such a generic design patent, design innovation and progress in the industry could be restricted.”
It’s a shame that things have to come to this—companies suing companies to ban products.
