Jury Rules in Favor of Apple in Patent Infringement Case

Talk about a good day for Apple. A federal jury in San Jose delivered a verdict in the Apple vs Samsung trial over alleged patent infringement.

The jury has ruled in apple’s favor. They ruled that the rubber band effect violated one of Apple’s patents across all their devices. Patent 915, pinch to zoom, was also violated, according to the jury, on all but three Samsung devices.

Here’s a portion of a report from USA Today:

In closing arguments on Tuesday, Apple attorney Harold McElhinny alleged that Samsung documents show that in three months, it was able to copy four years of Apple development. He said they show “hundreds of pages of copying directions” for icon design and functions such as tap-to-zoom that were put into the Galaxy phone and tablet line.

There are a handful more, and you can check out a full report here.
