Rumor: Connecting Your iPhone 5 to an Old iPhone Dock Will Set You Back $10

The iPhone 5 is practically confirmed at this point, and it is almost a sure thing that it will have a smaller dock connector. With that smaller connector comes a problem: What happens to my old iPhone docks? There will be a solution. It will cost you at least $10.

Apple will be selling dock connector converters, according to website iLounge. The connector will come in a pack of one for $10, or three for $30. This is priced like the MagSafe to MagSafe 2 converter, which is also $10.

This is good news for those who own accessories already, and don’t want to have to pay a few hundred for new pieces of gear. It gets expensive, after all.
