The Dirtiest Ad We’ve Ever Seen

This ad was pretty scummy in our opinion. See above? It was found within the Weather Channel app. It looks just like the top of the Facebook application, doesn’t it? It’s not. It’s an advertisement that took us to a survey.

That’s right. Someone actually put together an application that borrows the Facebook look to trick users into thinking that they may somehow be within Facebook (Usually, you aren’t running the Facebook app, so it catches you off guard)  and when they touch the banner they are taken to some sort of survey. We blame their ad network for allowing something like this to pass through.

Just goes to show you that ads are continuing to get more and more tricky. They like to play dirty sometimes. Just goes to show you.
