AT&T and T-Mobile Waiving Roaming Fees for Those Affected By Hurricane Sandy

See? AT&T can play nice. Both they and T-Mobile have announced that they will waive roaming fees for those who are in areas affected by Hurricane Sandy and need to make use of their cellphones in areas they would normally be charged roaming rates.

It’s reported that a quarter of cellular towers across 10 states are down. It’s also recommended by the FCC that people use text messaging, social networks, and other ways to communicate with friends and family. This is likely to help minimize strain on networks.
