Factories in China make the iPad. China is also where the clones come from. It didn’t take long for someone to make a fake iPad mini, either. Welcome the Goopad Mini. What the heck it is? It’s…well, a Goopad Mini.
It’s only $99, but it looks like an iPad mini. It launches this November, and it is reportedly running a custom version of Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It’s by Goophone. The folks who actually thought they could patent the iPhone 5 design before release and sue Apple. Aside from being a joke, they release stuff. Here are the specs for the Goopad Mini:
– 8-inch screen, 1,024×768-pixel display
– 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, and 8GB storage
– 2MP rear camera + 0.3MP front camera
– Supports Wi-Fi
– Android 4.1 OS, with iLauch (iOS theme)
– Aluminum slim body
