Newsweek magazine will cease to exist in its print form come next year. Its parent company, The Daily Beast, mentioned that “challenging economics in print publishing and distribution” have led to this decision.
For now, it seems that the magazine will continue to exist. However, it’s hard to say for how long. Some publications seem to have trouble adjusting to the transition from print to digital. They did mention, however, that they have seen a fast-growing readership on devices like the iPad, and that stores like Newsstand, the Kindle Store and others are great places to publish.
Farewell, Newsweek dead tree edition.
