Let’s hope this is the last time our keyboard flickers.
Apple has released iOS 6.0.1. Just ahead of the update, they put out the iPhone 5 updater, which is shown in the screen below.
After installing the updater, users can quickly update their iPhone either through iTunes, or by doing an OTA update.
Some of the updates are minor, such as improved wifi reliability over certain types of networks. Others are more publicized problems like an issue that causes the camera flash not to go off sometimes, and the keyboard glitch with the iPhone 5. Once we installed 6.0.1, the updater app was gone.
The nice thing about that app is that the update is not hidden deep within the settings menu.
Luckily, the keyboard glitch was a software issue. The iPhone 5 is a great phone, but it’s not without it’s share of flaws.
