Looks like DC Comics is bringing their monthly comics to Kindle, Nook and iBooks. In the past, only their graphic novels were available on those platforms. It’s also worth noting that this bypasses any need to download a special DC Comic reader app or something of the sort, a strategy we saw more when the iPad launched.
DC Entertainment co-publisher Jim Lee said in a press release, “As eReaders and tablets continue to explode in popularity, it’s important for us to offer consumers convenience and choice on how they download digital comics and graphic novels, and these new distribution deals with the top three eBookstores do just that.”
Website PaidContent makes note that Marvel sells their comics through their own apps and comiXology.
