Ouch. Former Apple guy Tony Fadell, who is known as the ‘Father of the iPod,’ spoke with the BBC in a recent interview.
When asked about Scott Forstall and what he thinks the terms of that firing were, he said something along the lines of “I think we all know what happened.” He also says “he got what he deserved.”
When pressed, he sticks only to “he got what he deserved,” even when asked what his relationship with Forstall was. He goes on to mention the reports that people were cheering when he was fired, implying that they did not get along.
There’s no question about it. Other Apple executives didn’t like dealing with Forstall. They all seem to be very glad he’s out. Fadell also says that there are many talented people at Apple, and that he believes they will carry on Steve’s legacy. Forstall’s outing, to him, can only mean good things.
