The iPad mini isn’t cannibalizing the iPad as bad as some had feared, according to a recent survey by Morgan Stanley and AlphaWise.
The survey was conducted on “more than 1,000 U.S. consumers.” That, unfortunately doesn’t tell us exactly how many or much else about them. However, Analyst Katy Huberty said that even though there is some cannibalization, it’s not as extreme as some had feared.
The mini is currently attracting new customers. The survey showed that 47 percent of those purchasing the tablet were new buyers, while 56 percent of those buying the larger iPad were new to Apple’s tablet.
