The iPhone’s Lock Screen Re-imagined

The iPhone’s lock screen is fairly simple. There’s nothing wrong with that, but some people want more out of it. Rival platforms such as Android and Windows Phone have lockscreens that offer more information than iOS (which is date, time and unchecked messages.)

Someone actually put together some ideas showing off how the new lockscreen could work. For instance, they mention lockscreen cards. This would let you swipe across the top of the lockscreen (where the date and time are) and check out the current weather conditions, etc. All apps can have permission to do have cards placed on the screen.

They also have the grabber. This would make it somewhat like the camera app, which you can simply flick up on the lock screen to take a photo.
