Our friends at Accessory Spotter (ASpotter.com) caught this little app at the Consumer Electronics Show. They cover accessories, so they passed this our way.
You can see how the application works by watching the video above. The idea is that Big Bird creates a shopping list, and children must find the items on the list by looking at real-world items. In doing this, it’s teaching spelling. The example above shows that the child must find milk. This is done by using the handset’s camera and aiming it at the word milk on the carton. If the child finds something else, a carton of orange juice, for example, the game will tell them that they need to keep looking.
