The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is taking place next week, and Corning are already teasing the next version of their Gorilla Glass.
The glass is said to be more scratch resistant and maintains the strength of previous iterations. There’s a bit of technical and PR mumbo jumbo that comes with the report, such as “Native Damage Resistance,” or something like that. It just means it reduces the appearance of scratches, flaw propagation and is as strong as Gorilla Glass is known for.
They are expected to demonstrate the stuff at CES 2013. Our analyst prediction for Apple in 2013: The iPhone and iPad will have Gorilla Glass 3 screens. Man, we’re good!
