Developers are noticing that their app usage logs are showing evidence of new iOS software and iPhones.

This comes as no surprise given that Apple releases yearly updates of both iOS and the devices it runs on. According to reports, the developers have noticed a new iPhone identifier and logs showing that devices are running iOS 7.

Here’s a portion of what TheNextWeb had to say:

One developer showed us that Apple has been testing hardware relating to a new ‘iPhone6,1′ identifier, powered by a device running iOS 7, which is expected to be released by Apple in the middle part of this year.

They also note that this usage comes from an IP address on Apple’s Cupertino campus. This means that it’s likely hardware and software engineers at Apple testing out these apps on the new devices and iOS 7.
