Philips is getting out of consumer electronics. They won’t be selling iPhone docks and other such iOS devices.
The original report comes from the Wall Street Journal by way of TUAW. The consumer electronics line of products was sold to Japanese company Funai Electric, says the report. From here on out, Philips will sell medical equipment and lightning. Turns out that’s what makes them money.
