According to reports, Apple’s Thunderbolt displays are in short supply. This is something that often signifies an upcoming upgrade. It’s entirely likely since Apple made the iMac thinner than ever.
This is an indication that the screen may go extra thin in the near future. AppleInsider reports that the major Apple resellers such as Amazon and MacMall are out of stock. The update would also mean a MagSafe 2 connector on the display. This would make it compatible with newer MacBooks.
Let’s hope there is an update. Right after that might be the best time to quickly pick up the slightly older display if the price is dropped to get rid of old inventory.
