Apple may be planning a music streaming service for iOS. That’s according to a report from 9to5Mac.
They discovered the icons in the iPad Music.app on their jailbroken iPads using iFunBox. It’s something called the “radio button.”
What’s interesting is that it may not be a regular radio streaming app. This is because there is a label that reads “buy” in the filename, the report points out. This could hint at some sort of subscription-type feature. This would mean a radio or streaming service similar to Spotify. Perhaps on-demand, if we’re lucky.
It’s hard to say for sure, but on-demand streaming apps are all the hotness these days. It seems much less common to download from iTunes. Apple has to keep up with the competition. This may be the way.
