This isn’t something we didn’t already suspect, but now there’s more evidence supporting the reports of a Retina iPad mini.
We should start by saying that a Retina iPad mini is a given. We don’t see why Apple wouldn’t go Retina at this point as it’s been what its iOS devices (and even a line of Macs) have shifted to. It’s expected at this point. In fact, it would be bigger news if the the next iPad mini didn’t have a Retina display. As it is, many were disappointed to find out that the first-gen mini was Retina-less.
The report comes from BrightWire (via AppleInsider). It claims to have spoken with component suppliers on the matter.
The tablet reportedly will reportedly have a resolution of 2,048 x 1,536, which is equal to the iPad biggie, and four times that of the current mini.
