Update: Apple has issued a firmware update to iOS 6.1.1
Carrier Vodafone in Britain is warning its iPhone 4S owners not to update to iOS 6.1.
The latest version of iOS seems to have some sort of problem that causes issues with calling, texting and internet connectivity. They tell users to wait until Apple fixes performance issues with 3G. It seems that the problem isn’t too widespread, but there is enough to give the carrier reason to warn users.
For now, owners of the iPhone 4S on Vodafone’s network are told to wait until the folks at Cupertino come up with a fix. Perhaps it will be issued in a minor firmware update. Either way, it must be frustrating for users.
