iFixit: iPad Hardest Tablet to Fix, But Least Likely to Need Repairs

iPad repairability

iFixit, the website known for taking apart fancy gadgets and examining the internals recently released a report. It says that the iPad is very difficult to repair. That’s nothing new, Apple devices always get a low repairability score on iFixit. It’s all those special screws, adhesives and other weird things Apple does to make the devices difficult to pry open.

The risk of breaking the iPad’s glass panel is high when taking the device apart. That sounds like a huge pain, but the good news is that Apple’s tablets are also the least likely to need repairs. That means you probably won’t have to worry about taking it apart.

Still, if you ever do, there are Apple care plans. If that’s expired, you may have to find someone who can do it for you. Unless you’re brave and figure you have nothing else to lose.
