This was kind of a jerk move. Nokia CEO Stephen Elop threw an iPhone to the floor during a TV interview with Finnish talk show host Hjallis Harkimo.
Elop was guest on Harkimo’s show, Hjalliksen kanssa, which according to Wired, means With Hjallis. He asked the Nokia CEO about the Nokia Lumia 928, to which he wouldn’t get a response. Then he held out his iPhone, and told Elop, “I don’t want to have an iPhone. I want to have a Nokia phone.”
That’s when Elop grabbed the phone and tossed it offscreen, “There, it’s gone.” Elop was laughing as he said it, so it was definitely his idea of being funny. Maybe.
