Using his old Mac 512K’s Speak program, Niles Mitchell made his computer write to a floppy through some clever use of an iMac, AppleScript and iCloud Notes.
He shows a few commands, then he has the old Mac shut down the iMac through a Siri command. Sure, it may not be incredibly useful, but it looks cool. As website TUAW puts it, this is a “a clever mix of old and new technology.”
I don’t think I can do anything that cool. I wouldn’t even know how. I’ll let the smart folks do it, and I can watch YouTube videos of their clever tricks.
