Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) conducted a study examining how iPhone 5 and Galaxy S III owners use their phones. They polled 1,000 users, 500 for each device, between January and February 2013.
Regardless of which of the two devices users carry, they tend to call, text, email and use the internet at roughly the same rate, according to the survey, spotted by AppleInsider. About 80 to 90 percent of those polled text many times a day, with more than 80 percent on iPhone 5 and 75 percent on the Galaxy S III access the internet several times daily.
Almost 80 percent of iPhone owners say they frequently play games on their device, while around 70 percent of Galaxy S III owners do.
Least surprisingly, the survey points out, iPhone owners were two times more likely to own an iPad. Galaxy S III owners were twice as likely to … you guessed it, own an Android tablet.
