Report: The iPhone Makes Up the Majority of Mobile Video Streamed

Ooyala_data

Recently revealed statistics from Ooyala claim that the iPhone makes up 67 percent of the time users stream video on mobile devices.

Users on Android handsets make up about 33 percent of total time spent watching video on mobile devices. Also interesting is that Apple handsets shipped much less worldwide during the 2012 calendar year. That’s 19 percent worldwide for iOS and 68 percent for Android.

We have no idea why such is the case, but it may just be something telling of user habits. Seems iPhone users just like to watch more video.
