As smartphones grow in popularity and become more powerful devices, we’re seeing a rise in cellular towers.
According to a recent report from the Press of Atlantic City, these cell towers are becoming less of a distraction or eyesore, and being seen as part of a public service. Furthermore, old fears of cancer risks from these towers also seem to have diminished over the years.
The report also says that because phones now transmit more than just voice, more cell towers are built because they cover a smaller radius.
Companies are also starting to invest in more towers as they build up their 4G networks.
Overall, we are likely to see more cell towers as more people adopt smartphones, and many leave behind their landlines. However, as they become more necessary. They are simply becoming part of the modern landscape in many places.
