BlackBerry, the company once known as RIM, announced a few months back that its BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) service is coming to other mobile platforms like iOS. Other than that, the company has been silent.
During an earnings call, CEO Thorsten Heins did say that it’s still scheduled to arrive before the end of summer, which means sometime around August at the latest.
BBM is one of the major functions that BlackBerry fans really seem to love about the platform. Much like Messages, it lets users send message to other users on the same platform, and even use group chats.
