Here, you can see iOS 7’s new multitasking. It’s animated. However, if you watch, you will notice that only the last active app will be animated. The rest are in sort of a freeze-frame until you switch to them.
Regardless, it goes beyond what iOS multitasking used to do, at least in terms of looks. It’s also a bit more functional, because you can see where you left off. Previously, you had to switch back to an app to see it again. Now everything is within view.
We’re looking forward to seeing iOS 7 running in completion. That said, we expect it to experience some growing pains. We know it’s early to look ahead, but we imagine iOS 8 will be the new design, and the extra year will make it truly polished.
