Apple has filed for a trademark for Logic Remote. The company announced and released Logic Pro X last week. It looks amazing. It also released the Logic Remote app. Logic Remote is an iPad app that enables touchscreen control for the popular DAW (digital audio workstation.)
While this does the obvious things, such as ensuring that other companies don’t use the icon for their apps, it’s also indicative of how important Logic and Remote may be for Apple. The company took the time to file and pay for trademarking the icon. It may seem like a small amount of money for Apple, but it does tell us that the company is placing some importance on these apps.
